Photography
Food and beverage photography, styling, and recipe development in Tokyo.
I came to food photography through cooking, so I tend to think about what is happening on the plate before I think about what is happening in the frame. Working from my kitchen studio in Tokyo or on location, I photograph and style food and drink for websites, packaging, cookbooks, recipe libraries, and campaigns.
I want the food to look like the best version of itself, not like something constructed only for the camera. That means honest styling, purposeful light, and a restrained hand in post.
Photography services
Commercial food and beverage photography
Finished stills for websites, packaging, advertising, editorial features, cookbooks, recipe libraries, and digital campaigns.
Recipe development and food styling
I can develop the recipe, cook it, style it, and photograph it as one continuous process, keeping the food practical enough to reproduce and strong enough to carry a campaign.
Tokyo production and location work
I work from a kitchen studio in Tokyo or on location, independently or as part of an existing creative team. Projects can be produced in English, Japanese, or both.
